1940’s and 1950’s
Growing up in Detroit Glorya had a lot of fond memories of friends and family. While in elementary school she was part of a club made up of friends called The AEdorns. They would meet at a friend's home and host dance parties. Dancing has always been an important part of her life and huge passion even to this day.
“It was really part of life at that time in Detroit. These basements became a sort of recreational area that us kids could use. We would ask different boys clubs to come dance with us.”
