1980’s
The beginning of the 1980s were a difficult time for Glorya. She had been in a terrible bike accident that required multiple surgeries and even legal proceedings. Because of her severe life threatening injuries Don had become more caring, attentive, and sensitive with Glorya then he has ever been before. Tragically in 1983 while he was flying his Witch Hawk bi-wing airplane over Calabasas Don Kaufman was in a plane accident that took his and his son in law Eyal Horowitz’s life.
This event changed Glorya’s world forever. For the first time she had to make her own decisions. She was able to conquer her grief and move forwards from one of the most tragic events in her family's lives. Glorya learned to become furiously independent and strong minded in her beliefs and opinions.
